How to effortlessly display POS-enabled digital menu boards on any TV

Digital menu boards are included in POSable’s AI plans. In the dashboard, open Display Menu Boards. Each menu board has its own URL. To show a board, open that URL in the web browser on your TV or display. To show several boards in turn, create a menu board set: it rotates the boards every few seconds (you choose how many), and you open the set’s URL instead. Screens update automatically when you change a board. This guide is for owners and managers.

Important: Menu boards are only available on AI plans (Plan 3 and Plan 4). See How much does POSable cost?

Why it matters

  • No extra signage software. Menu boards are built into POSable.
  • Any screen with a browser. Smart TVs, large displays or a spare tablet.
  • Rotate several screens. Show your menu, promotions and loyalty screens on one display.
  • Always up to date. Change a board in the dashboard and the screen updates by itself.

Step-by-step: put a menu board on screen

1. Open Display Menu Boards

In the dashboard menu, open Display Menu Boards and create or choose your board. AI plans can generate promotional, menu and loyalty screens.

2. Choose one board or a rotating set

  • One board: copy the URL for that menu board.
  • Several boards: create a menu board set, add the boards, set how many seconds each board shows for, and copy the set’s URL.

3. Open the URL on the display

  1. On the TV or display, open its web browser. Most smart TVs and large-screen displays have one.
  2. Enter the URL and open it.
  3. Make the browser full screen, if it can.

Once the board is open, it updates automatically when you change it in the dashboard. There’s no need to refresh.

Tip: Bookmark the URL in the TV’s browser, so it’s quick to open again after the screen has been switched off.
