POSable hardware?

I need to purchase hardware for POSable - what do I need?

  • Android or Windows Tablet running Android 10+ with a 10" screen or larger
  • Barcode Scanner either USB or Bluetooth
  • Receipt Printer either USB or Bluetooth. 80mm
  • myPOS GO 2 Card Terminal, DOJO Go Max Card Terminal, Teya Pro Card Terminal or a Gravity Payment (US) Terminal
  • POS Stand or Wall Mount & Card Reader Stand if you do not select a tablet with a stand
  • USB Hub - Not essential depening on the amount of USB slots the tablet has
  • Cash Drawer with RJ11 Cable (if taking cash payments)

Suitable Tablets

Any Android or Windows Tablet will suffice but we recommend the minimum specification;

10″+ Screen, Android or Windows 10+ OS, At least 1 USB slot. WiFI, Bluetooth are both essential.

Features that make things even better.

Camera. If the Android or Windows tablet has a camera this can be used as a barcode scanner.
Microphone. We are working on voice commands for POSable
Battery. Not all tablets come with a battery. Especially commercial tablets. We recommend a tablet with a 6000mAh battery.

Suitable Bluetooth/USB Receipt Printers
Munbyn Printers work very well, and we recommend the ITPP047P-USEB-BK model

Many other models, such as USB-only thermal 80mm receipt printers, will also work, as will those that are Bluetooth-only.

Barcode Scanners
NetumScan USB & Bluetooth scanners are widely available.

myPOS Card Terminal
GO2 – USB

The myPOS terminal POSable supports the GO2 Terminal, which requires it to be plugged into the tablet at all times.

Comes with a free data SIM card, making it more flexible and suitable for Offline Mode.

DOJO Card Terminal
GO MAX – WiFi & 4G

The DOJO Go Max, With a long lasting battery it is portable and takes payments in approx 2 seconds.

However, it always requires a connection so unable to take payments offline.

Teya Card Terminal
PRO – WiFi & 4G

The Teya Pro, With a long lasting battery it is portable and takes payments in approx 2 seconds.

However, it always requires a connection so unable to take payments offline.

Gravity Payments Card Terminal
PAX or Clover Terminals – WiFi & 4G

Gravity Payments (US) offers a variety of terminals according to your requirements these are from their PAX and Clover terminal range.

Card Terminal Stand
A great option here is the 3dbitz Wisepad 3 POS stand, which is an affordable, low-format terminal stand.

It is suitable for the myPOS GO2 card terminal.

Both DOJO and Teya offer charging stands for their card terminals.

Tablet Stands
If you are purchasing a tablet without a stand included then Klearlook & ShouSou both manufacture affordable sturdy stands up to 13″

For something more secure, please take a look at the range from AboveTEK.

For wall-mounted VESA tablets, you can search online retailers for VESA Monitor Mounts for the range that will be suitable.
