Cookie Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how POSable uses cookies and similar technologies on posable.co.uk and on the POSable web dashboard (dashboard.posable.co.uk). It applies to visitors in the United Kingdom and the United States. Please read it alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

In short:

  • We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to run the website and dashboard, remember your region, keep logins secure and remember your cookie choices.
  • We use analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how our website is used, and advertising technologies (Google Ads and the Meta Pixel) to measure and improve our online advertising.
  • UK visitors: analytics and advertising only run if you accept them in our consent banner. You can reject them as easily as you accept them, and change your mind at any time.
  • US visitors: we do not sell your personal information for money. Our advertising cookies may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under US state laws, and you can opt out at any time with the Your Privacy Choices link. We honour Global Privacy Control signals.
  • You can change your choices at any time with the Cookie settings link in the website footer.

1. Who we are

The website and Service are operated by:

  • POSable Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Registration Number 16705417), registered office 5 Beach Road, Perranporth, Cornwall, TR6 0JL, United Kingdom. POSable Ltd is responsible for the website and for UK customers.
  • POSable LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. POSable LLC is responsible for US customers.

In this policy, "POSable", "we", "us" and "our" mean the company that applies to you. Our Data Protection Officer is Mark Foster (privacy@posable.co.uk).

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things, such as your region or that you are logged in, and they help us measure how the site is used and how our adverts perform.

"Similar technologies" covers other ways of storing or reading information on your device, or of sending information about your visit to a third party. Examples are scripts, tags, pixels, local storage and embedded content. In this policy, "cookies" includes these technologies unless we say otherwise.

  • First-party cookies are set on posable.co.uk or dashboard.posable.co.uk. Some are set by a third party's script running on our site.
  • Third-party cookies are set on another company's domain.
  • Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

3. Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary: needed to provide the website or Service you ask for, for example security, logins, remembering your region and remembering your cookie choices. These do not need consent, and you cannot switch them off in our cookie settings.
  • Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the website, so we can improve it.
  • Advertising: measure how our adverts on Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) perform, and help us show our adverts to people who may be interested in POSable, including people who have visited our website.

In the UK we only use analytics and advertising cookies with your consent. In the US they are on by default, and you can opt out (see section 6).

4. Cookies we use

4.1 Strictly necessary

Microsoft Clarity records heatmaps and session replays (clicks, scrolls and mouse movements) so we can fix problems and improve our pages. Without consent, Clarity sets no cookies and assigns only a temporary ID to each page view.

Google and Meta may also read or set cookies on their own domains (for example google.com, doubleclick.net and facebook.com), under their own cookie policies, especially if you are signed in to their services.

Some browsers limit how long cookies set by scripts can last, so cookies may expire sooner than shown. Vendors can change their cookies, and we review this list regularly.

4.5 Our apps. Our Android and Windows till apps store data on your device so that you can keep selling and taking payments offline. This storage is essential to the Service. It is covered by our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, not by cookie consent.

4.6 Payments. Subscription payments are taken on Stripe's own checkout pages, under Stripe's own privacy and cookie policy. Card payments in store are handled by your payment provider (UK: Dojo, Teya or myPOS; US: Gravity Payments via Emergepay), under that provider's own policies.

5. UK visitors: your choices

5.1 The law. In the UK, cookies are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), and any personal data they collect is governed by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

5.2 Consent first. We only set strictly necessary cookies without asking. Analytics and advertising cookies and technologies are blocked until you accept them in our consent banner. The banner lets you:

  • accept all
  • reject all non-essential cookies, with a button that is just as easy to use as "accept"
  • choose by category (analytics, advertising)

If you reject or ignore the banner, Google's tags run in a restricted, cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode), and Clarity runs in its no-consent mode without cookies. The Meta Pixel does not load at all.

5.3 Legal basis. Our lawful basis for analytics and advertising cookies, and for the personal data they collect, is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). For strictly necessary cookies, it is our legitimate interests in running a secure, working website and providing the Service you ask for (Article 6(1)(f)), or performing our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).

5.4 Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer, which reopens our consent banner. Withdrawing consent stops those cookies from being used from that point on. It does not affect anything that happened before. You can also delete cookies already stored in your browser (see section 7).

5.5 International transfers. Google, Microsoft and Meta may process this data outside the UK, including in the US. Where they do, the transfer is protected by the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

6. US visitors: your choices

6.1 Notice at collection. When you visit our website, we and our analytics and advertising partners collect:

  • identifiers: online identifiers in cookies, and your IP address
  • internet and network activity: pages viewed, clicks, scrolls, mouse movements, referring site or advert, browser and device information, and sign-up events
  • approximate location: country or region, derived from your IP address

We use this information to run and secure the website, show US pricing, carry out analytics, and measure and target our advertising. We disclose it to Google, Microsoft and Meta for those purposes. We keep it for the cookie durations in section 4, or as described in our Privacy Policy.

6.2 Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. But using Google Ads and the Meta Pixel to show our adverts to people based on their visits to our site may count as:

  • "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA)
  • "targeted advertising", or in some states a "sale", under other US state privacy laws

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

6.3 Your Privacy Choices. You can opt out at any time by selecting Your Privacy Choices in the website footer, which reopens our consent banner. If you opt out, we stop loading our advertising technologies in that browser and on that device, and we stop sharing your information for advertising. You can switch analytics off there too.

6.4 Global Privacy Control. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for that browser or device. We switch off our advertising technologies automatically, and you do not need to do anything else. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.

6.5 State privacy laws. Residents of states with consumer privacy laws that include opt-out rights can use the choices above. These states include California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia. We apply the same choices to all US visitors, wherever they live. For your other rights (to know, access, correct and delete your information, and not to be discriminated against for using your rights), see our Privacy Policy.

6.6 Opting out on one device. An opt-out made with a cookie or browser signal applies to the browser and device you use. If you clear your cookies or use another browser, you will need to opt out again, unless that browser sends GPC.

7. Browser and device controls

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the website and dashboard may not work, for example sign-in or showing the right regional prices.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we change the cookies we use or when the law changes. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make significant changes, such as adding a new advertising partner, we will ask UK visitors for consent again through our consent banner.
