POSable offers customer loyalty features that allow businesses to create effective POSable loyalty programs. Using their POSable front of house PWA, businesses can enhance customer retention and therefore sales. POSable includes a complete customer loyalty program at no extra cost.
It’s built into the dashboard and supports both Android and Windows tills. This integration allows staff to access loyalty tools without switching systems, ensuring a smooth customer experience at point of sale. It remains easy to train staff and maintain consistency across locations.
- reward customers with points on every purchase
- move your best customers up through Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers
- create targeted offers such as Buy X Get Y, free items and double points
- send push notifications straight to customers’ phones
Everything is managed from your POSable dashboard. Customers join by scanning a QR code, and there’s no separate loyalty software to buy or connect.
Why a loyalty program increases sales and retention
Bringing back an existing customer costs far less than winning a new one. Research by Bain & Company found that a 5% increase in customer retention can raise profits by 25–95%. A well-run loyalty program helps in four ways:
- More frequent visits. Customers who are working towards a reward choose you over a competitor.
- Bigger baskets. Minimum-spend thresholds, points multipliers and Buy X Get Y offers encourage customers to add one more item.
- Owned marketing. Push notifications reach members directly, without paying for ads or relying on social media algorithms.
- Better decisions. Loyalty reports show who your best customers are and which offers actually drive sales.
POSable loyalty features at a glance
Simple customer sign-up with a QR code
When you finish the loyalty setup, POSable generates a registration QR code and a short sign-up link, for example yoursite.com/loyalty/yourbusiness. Print the QR code at your counter, add it to receipts or share the link online. This approach supports easy onboarding for new members.
Customers scan it with their phone camera, register in seconds and install your branded customer loyalty app. You can also give new members a registration bonus, such as 50 points just for joining. It can boost participation over time significantly.
Points that customers earn and spend
You decide how the points economy works:
- Points per pound: how many points customers earn for each £1 they spend
- Minimum purchase for points: the smallest sale that earns points
- Points-to-currency ratio: what each point is worth, for example 1 point = 1p
- Minimum redemption: how many points a customer needs before they can spend them
- Points expiry: set points to expire after a number of days to create urgency, or leave them to never expire
Membership tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum)
Customers move up the tiers automatically as they earn points.
You set the Silver, Gold and Platinum thresholds.
Each member’s tier appears in their loyalty app.
They can see their status and how close they are to the next level.
That encourages them to keep spending with you, supporting customer loyalty.
Seven types of loyalty offer
In the Loyalty Offers page you can create:
| Offer type | Best used for |
|---|---|
| Percentage discount | Member-only sales, such as 10% off |
| Fixed amount discount | £5 off a £30 spend |
| Buy X Get Y | Getting customers to try a new product |
| Free item | Classic rewards, such as a free coffee for 100 points |
| Points multiplier | Double-points days to fill quiet periods |
| Bonus points | Rewarding a specific action or campaign |
| Cashback | Returning a share of the spend as points |
You can control every offer in detail:
- Target it at all products, one category or specific products.
- Set the points cost, or set it to 0 to make it a free member perk.
- Cap total redemptions, for example “first 50 customers only”.
- Schedule it with start and end dates. Offers go live automatically on the start date.
- Add terms and conditions that customers see in the app.
Fast redemption at the till
At checkout, staff scan the barcode shown in the customer’s loyalty app. The till displays the customer’s name, points balance, tier, and current offers. This information supports personalised service throughout the sale. That enables staff to tailor recommendations and speed the checkout.
With one tap, staff can redeem points as a discount or apply an offer. The discount is automatically applied to the right items and appears as a loyalty discount on the receipt. Loyalty details stay attached if a sale is paused and resumed, including parked sales, ensuring customer loyalty.
Push notifications to customers’ phones
From Loyalty Notifications you can send a push notification to:
- all subscribers
- a single customer
- one membership tier, such as a Gold-only preview
Use them to announce new offers, send a “we miss you” message or promote a quiet-day event. The dashboard shows active subscribers, total messages sent and the delivery success rate.
Customer management
The Loyalty Customers page lets you:
- search and filter members by tier or status
- view a customer’s points history
- add, subtract or set points manually, with a reason recorded against the change
- award points to many customers at once
- block accounts if you need to
Loyalty reports and AI offer suggestions
Loyalty Program Reports cover any date range you choose and can be exported. They include:
- monthly loyalty activity
- how points are spread across your members
- top customers by points
- how each offer performed
- the impact of loyalty discounts on sales
POSable AI report goes a step further. It analyses your sales and suggests loyalty offers, and you can edit a suggestion or publish it with one click.

Frequently asked questions
Is the loyalty program included in my POSable subscription?
Yes. Loyalty is built into the POSable dashboard and tills, so you don’t need a third-party loyalty app.
Do customers need to download an app from an app store?
No. The POSable loyalty app is a progressive web app (PWA). Customers open it by scanning your QR code and can add it to their home screen straight from the browser.
Can I limit a loyalty offer to certain products or categories?
Yes. Every discount offer can apply to all products, one category or selected products.
Can loyalty points expire?
Yes, if you want them to. Set Points Expire Days in Loyalty Settings, or leave it blank so points never expire.
