On the POSable till, staff sign in with their 6-digit PIN. Device settings such as the theme, printer, Receipt Auto Dismiss and camera scanning are in the settings window: press the cog wheel at the top right. You don’t need a PIN to open it. The till syncs with the dashboard automatically every 5 minutes, and you can sync straight away by tapping the sync icon next to Log out. When you finish, press Log out and choose a reason. Every log-out is recorded in the dashboard. This guide is for till staff and managers.
Important:
- The till doesn’t lock itself and there’s no switch-user. To hand over the till, log out and let the next person sign in with their own PIN.
- Anyone on the till can open the settings window. Train staff on what to change.

Offline: you can sign in offline for up to 5 days after the device last synced. After that, connect to the internet once to reset it. A new or replacement device must be online the first time anyone signs in.
The log-out and its reason are recorded in the dashboard, so owners can see when staff signed in and out of each till. At the end of the day, logging out closes the till. See How to open and close the till.

Tip: Sync before you log out at the end of the day, so the Z Report is complete.
Managers can send messages to the tills from Push Notifications in the dashboard, such as shift notes or “new products added, please sync”. They appear on the till. To dismiss one, tap anywhere on the screen. There’s nothing to acknowledge. See How to send messages to your tills.
