Offline Functionality of POSable

POSable is designed to continuously monitor the network status of each device on which it is installed. Whether connected via Wi-Fi, mobile data, or a wired Ethernet connection, the system assesses connectivity at all times.

When POSable detects an absence of network connection, it automatically transitions into offline mode. During this state, the application maintains full operational capacity, allowing users to perform all essential functions including logging in and out, processing cash, card, and split sales, printing receipts, and managing loyalty offers for customers.

There is no need for prior planning or manual adjustments to accommodate potential internet outages. POSable seamlessly switches between online and offline modes based on real-time connectivity status. Upon re-establishment of the network connection, the system automatically transitions back to online mode and synchronizes all data with the dashboard without user intervention.

Status Notifications

Messages will be prominently displayed at the bottom center of the application interface to inform users of the current operational status. These notifications will include indicators for ongoing synchronization processes, online status, and offline mode.

Online and Offline Indicators

Offline Mode Alerts

These notifications are designed to ensure continuous awareness of the application’s connectivity status and data integrity.

Offline Mode Licensing Requirement

In addition to the standard functionalities of offline mode, it is imperative to acknowledge a critical licensing restriction. The device must establish an internet connection at least once within a seven-day period. This requirement ensures ongoing compliance with licensing agreements and the continued operational status of the system.
