Are There Hidden Fees for POSable Updates or Support?

by POSable Support Team | January 5, 2026 1:12 pm

No. Every POSable software update, new feature and support request is included in your subscription at no extra cost. There are no setup fees, support contracts, paid upgrades or charges per support call. Plans start at £20 a month for up to 5 devices, with no contract, and your plan price covers the till apps, the cloud dashboard, updates and help from our team.

The only other costs come from things POSable doesn’t provide: your card processing fees, your hardware, and any optional third-party services you choose. Each is explained below.

Why this matters

Many POS systems advertise a low monthly price and then charge extra for support plans, “premium” features, version upgrades or engineer call-outs. Those extras make the real cost hard to predict. With POSable:

What your subscription includes

Software updates and new features

POSable is actively developed, and improvements are released to every customer. Recent additions include:

None of these cost existing customers anything extra.

How updates reach you:

Part of POSableHow it’s updated
Cloud dashboard (back office)Automatically. It’s web-based, so you always use the latest version and there’s nothing to install.
Android tillThrough the Google Play Store. Keep automatic app updates turned on, or update manually from Play.
Windows tillThrough the Microsoft Store. Keep automatic app updates turned on, or update manually from the Store.
Loyalty and Shop Floor web appsAutomatically, the next time they’re opened.

About AI features: AI tools such as AI.MEE reports, demand forecasting and AI menu boards are included in the AI plans, not the Core plans. New AI features are released to AI plans first. Moving to an AI plan changes your plan price, but there are no separate AI credits or add-on charges. AI use is included on your plan.

Support

Support is included on every plan. You can get help in several ways:

How to get help

  1. Check the guides first. In your dashboard, open Help & Tutorials, or visit posable.co.uk/help[2]. Most setup questions are answered there.
  2. Try the guided tutorial or Quick Setup if you’re setting up for the first time.
  3. Contact us by email or phone. To help us resolve things quickly, include:
    • your business name
    • the device (Android or Windows) and what you were doing
    • any error message, ideally with a screenshot

Tips for keeping POSable up to date

Keep all tills on the same version so features and settings behave the same on every device.

Keep automatic updates on for the Android till in Google Play.

Update outside trading hours so an update never interrupts a sale.

Let offline sales sync before updating. If the till has been offline, reconnect and wait for pending sales to upload first.

Don’t uninstall the app to update it. Unsynced offline sales are stored on the device and would be lost.
